Frequently Asked Questions

What is the optimal image size for Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and Threads?
For Twitter/X, 1200×675px (16:9) or 1200×1200px (1:1) performs best in-feed. LinkedIn renders 1200×628px (1.91:1) for link posts and 1080×1080px for square images. Threads mirrors Instagram at 1:1 or 4:5. The 1080px canvas in this preset at 2× gives you 2160px wide — enough for any of these formats with room to crop.
How do I export a high-resolution image for social media?
Use the Export button in the top toolbar and select 2× or 4× scale. A 2× export from the 1080px canvas produces a 2160px image — well above the minimum for all social platforms. PNG is recommended for code images due to its lossless compression and superior text sharpness compared to JPEG.
Is it safe to share code containing API keys or private logic on social media?
Snip.Cards processes everything client-side in your browser — your code never touches any server. However, the content of your exported image is your responsibility. If your snippet contains sensitive credentials, redact them before exporting. The app itself provides complete privacy; the shared image does not.
